Can a Doctor really diagnose and treat illnesses over the smart phone or computer?

 Tele-medicine has been around for decades. However, in the past few years because of smart phones and computers, it has become a convenient way to connect with a doctor.

Will I be able to see and talk with a Medical Doctor?

You will always connect with a Medical Doctor. All our medical providers are U.S. Board Certified Physicians.

Can I get controlled substance prescriptions like opioids or other narcotics?

There are limitations to what can be prescribed during a virtual visit. Any prescription requiring a DEA number cannot be prescribed as by law it cannot be sent electronically or via fax.

Can I get a refill on my maintenance medication?

Yes, one week supply of your maintenance medication can be refilled with the exception of opioids and other narcotic agents.

What medical conditions can I get treatment for?

Virtual Visits cannot replace actual office visits. However, Virtual Visits are convenient for general everyday illnesses and common conditions like sinus infections, upper respiratory infections, common cold or flu-like symptoms, urinary tract infections, yeast vaginal infections, rashes and other non-emergent conditions.  

What about medical emergencies?

If you feel you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

What prescriptions can be prescribed?

The prescribed medications include and are not limited to antibiotics, antivirals  or other non-narcotic prescriptions.

How are my prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?

Any prescribed medication is sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice.  

Are my health records kept private?

Because of Health information Protection and Portability Act, we are required by law to keep all your health information private. However, in certain circumstances, health information can be shared where applicable by law. Please see our statement on HIPPA and Privacy.
