When traveling abroad, be sure to be up to date on your routine vaccinations which include Tetanus, Pneumococcal, Influenza, Pertussis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. Depending on your country of destination and the region of the world you are traveling to, you may need additional vaccines and medications to prevent any untoward illness. Vaccines are available for all vaccine-preventable diseases with the exception of Malaria. Malaria can be prevented by taking prescribed medication.
